There are currently no storm watches along the east coast of Florida. Locally, we are still expecting a 1-2 foot storm surge along the coast and 2-4 inches of rain. It has been said that Nassau County should expect conditions equivalent to a strong thunderstorm. It is still anticipated that Nassau County will begin seeing some deterioration of weather conditions late this afternoon into tomorrow morning.
Emergency Management remains prepared to activate the Emergency Operations Center if needed and has a shelter on stand-by. They will continue to monitor the storm as the forecast remains fluid at this time.
