The Nassau County Public Library has received a grant from the State Library of Florida that provided them with 8 AWE Early Literacy Stations. Of the 500 public libraries in the State, only 34 were awarded these early literacy tools. These stations feature more than 70 educational software programs with over 4,000 educational games on subjects such as math, writing, geography, music and more. The systems contain a touchscreen device so they are easy for children to use, and because they do not require an Internet connection, they are safe to use.

The Library now has these systems at the Fernandina Beach Branch, the Callahan Branch, and the Hilliard Branch. To learn more about the AWE Early Literacy Systems, please visit the website. Or contact Library Director, Dawn Bostwick, at (904) 277-7365 or via e-mail at dbostwick@nassaucountyfl.com.
