10/5/17 @ 2:50 p.m. - As of Wednesday, October 4th, a total of 29,091 cubic yards of storm debris has been collected in Nassau County since the start date of September 18th.

Due to the widespread amount of debris, the contractor cannot provide an exact schedule for removal, however they began east and are working their way west. They are working 7 days per week from dawn until dusk in an effort to remove the debris quickly. Attached is a list reflecting roads that the contractor has begun clearing, however please note that all of the listed roads may not be complete. Large limbs and logs may require additional equipment, therefore, this type of debris may be left behind at first pass. Once all roads have been completely cleared, the contractor will do one final pass to pick up debris that may have been placed in the right of way after their first pass  or which may have accidentally been missed by the contractor.

We have asked the contractor to provide this information periodically so that the public can see which areas they've cleared and hopefully help people determine as they are approaching their area. The best advice we can give is to just be ready and know that they will be to you as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please contact the County Manager's Office at (904) 530-6010 or email contact@nassaucountyfl.com.

From the map, it’s clear to see how very busy the crews have been. It looks like they may be only a few streets away from my area around 200 & Sadler. Yay!

That's great news. Hopefully it will be done sooner than later.

Is there a projected timeline for when the collections might end? I have about 10 large trees down on my property, and am afraid I might not clear it all in time for pick up. I have a huge job ahead of me. I am located on Old Nassauville Road in the tight S turn south of Mobley Heights. Thanks for all you are doing.

While I cannot tell you exactly when they will be to your particular road, I can tell you that they have begun clearing debris in the Nassauville area. Once they have been able to complete a pass on all the County roads, we will make an announcement for citizens to call us to let us know that they have additional debris so it can be picked up during the second pass.
