Emergency personnel must insure that the fire is 100% contained and that all hot spots are completely out before they can allow residents to return home. Wind is a major concern today as embers can travel and ignite additional fires.
In addition to homes lost, Nassau County Fire/Rescue personnel have had two non-life threatening injuries while attempting to extinguish the fire. Please continue to pray for all home owners and emergency personnel. We will post updates throughout the day as information is received from Nassau County Emergency Management, however anyone needing immediate information can contact Emergency Management directly at (904) 548-0900.
