The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) in partnership with Nassau County is conducting a study of public transportation opportunities in the region. The purpose of the project is to analyze the existing conditions and the changing landscape of the County in order to develop a plan to enhance transit service within the County, as well as exploring connections to neighboring transit providers in the region. The outcome of the study will be a set of short-term and long-term recommendations for transportation investments and strategies.
Public participation is an important part of developing study updates. A survey was offered from September 2023 - January 2024 and a lot of great feedback was received. At this time, the TPO is seeking public input for a second online survey. Though both surveys relate to public transportation, the questions are different in this new survey. Your input will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transit services and enhancing the overall mobility options available to a community.
