On Tuesday, September 6, 2016, members of Nassau County Public Works assessed County roads and determined that they will not be picking up debris from the storm at this time. Please note that Nassau County does not typically pick up storm debris, however an exception was made following the tornado on August 4th due to the over abundance of large trees. The Board may discuss this issue further at their meeting taking place on Monday, September 12th at 6:00 p.m.
You may contact your garbage company and request a pick up or you can deliver your debris to Sandhill Recycling Center located at 153326 County Road in Yulee. You will need to contact your garbage company and Sandhill Recycling Center directly to discuss any special requirements for bagging and/or associated costs.
