May 3rd through May 9th is Small Business Week.
Small businesses in Nassau County support their community in many ways. They donate money to non-profits, support our children's athletics and sponsor fundraising events. Now it's our turn to help them by shopping and dining local!
Since the pandemic began, many of these local businesses, particularly those who were deemed as non-essential, have suffered a loss of income. As small businesses begin to reopen, they will implement policies for the protection of their employees and their customers. However, if you are still hesitant to shop or dine in person, there are creative ways you can support small businesses while remaining safe:

- Buy from their websites and/or social media pages
- Buy a gift card or certificate from a local business or restaurant
- Order take-out or curbside service where available
