1/5/18 @ 10:40 a.m. - Please be advised that Norfolk Southern Railroad will be temporarily closing the railroad crossing on County Road 121 near Crawford Rd. on Monday, January 8th beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. Detour signs have been placed in the vicinity to provide motorists with an alternate route. This work was originally scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2018, however it had to be rescheduled due to weather conditions.
The County's Interim Public Works Director, Ms. Becky Bray, has been in contact with Norfolk Southern who have stated that they have a plan in place for emergency vehicles and that they will do their best to accommodate residents if needed. However, if you can avoid the area, please do so as this will help expedite the process.
