The North Florida Transportation Organization is conducting an Amelia Island Pedestrian and Bicycle Focus Area Study to develop a network of bicycling and walking routes, connecting people to important community destinations. They need the public's help identifying popular destinations, preferred routes, and any existing obstructions to bicyclists, pedestrians, and runners. The insights of those who already walk, run and bike Amelia Island are critical to understanding how a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian network can best serve the community.
On Saturday, February 6, 2016, an event titled "Help Plan Amelia Island's Walking and Bicycling Network" will be held from 8:00-11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church at 801 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach.
