Preparing for a Potential Storm

8/28/19 @ 10:00 a.m. - Though the exact impact to Nassau County is not currently known, we would like to remind residents to begin reviewing personal and family preparedness plans in case an emergency should occur. Plan in advanced for potential power outages by ensuring your household has sufficient drinking and personal hygiene water, shelf-stable food and necessary medications to last at least seven days for each person and pet in the house.

Know your evacuation zone in advance so you know when/if your zone is called to evacuate. Please click here to be redirected to the the Property Appraiser's interactive evacuation zone map. Scroll in to find your address and the Zone information will appear.

Lastly, if you still have not signed up for emergency alerts, please do so now. This is the best way to ensure you are receiving up to date information from Nassau County Emergency Management. You are able to choose how you receive the alerts, either through phone call, email, or text message.
