On Tuesday, May 1st, County Manager, Mike Mullin, representatives from the County's Engineering and Road & Bridge Department, and representatives from Ayres & Associates, the State's Architectural, Engineering and Structure Design company, met to discuss bridges. Specifically, the group discussed the national bridge rating system, identifying structural deficiencies, and the required certifications an inspector needs to be qualified to perform an inspection to the State's standards. Overall, the meeting was very informative and provided great insight into bridge inspection standards and the safety of the public.
