Did you know that Nassau County has its very own professional American Basketball Association League Team?
The Nassau Pride was founded by Darrin Eakins and Dr. Jeremy Coleman, two local entrepreneurs who wanted to provide a new level of sports and entertainment to Nassau County and to bring together a diverse group of sports enthusiasts throughout Northeast Florida. The team roster features professional and college athletes.
On Monday, September 9, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2019-137 welcoming the Nassau Pride to Nassau County and extending their best wishes on their opening season. Nassau Pride has been providing fun for families and basketball fans ever since.
If you haven't been to a Nassau Pride game, you are missing out! Games are held on Saturdays and feature live music, half-time entertainment and games, concessions, team apparel for purchase, and skilled basketball by players who often take time to interact with the guests.
Their first game is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th at 6pm at the Yulee High School Gym. Check out their 23/24 schedule for future dates, times and locations. Additional information about the team can be found on their website at www.nassaupride.com.
