The Nassau Pride was founded by Darrin Eakins and Dr. Jeremy Coleman, two local entrepreneurs who wanted to provide a new level of sports and entertainment to Nassau County and to bring together a diverse group of sports enthusiasts throughout Northeast Florida. The team roster features professional and college athletes.
On Monday, September 9, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2019-137 welcoming the Nassau Pride to Nassau County and extending their best wishes on their opening season. Since then, Nassau Pride has hosted several successful seasons (their efforts were put on hold during the pandemic) and have been providing fun for families and basketball fans ever since.
If you haven't been to a Nassau Pride game, you are missing out! Games are held on Saturdays and feature live music, half-time entertainment and games, concessions, team apparel for purchase, and skilled basketball by players who often take time to interact with the guests.
Their first game is this Saturday, November 19th at 6pm at the Yulee High School Gym. Check out their 22/23 schedule for future dates, times and locations. Additional information about the team can be found on their website at www.nassaupride.com.
