According to the 12:00 p.m. information released by the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Elsa has made a slight shift west. They are now anticipating it to enter the State of Florida just north of Cedar Key. That tract would have the storm traveling over Columbia County, northeast into Georgia.
At this time, there are no storm watches along east coast of Florida and no plans for a local State of Emergency in Nassau County. Nassau County could experience 1-2 foot storm surges and approximately 1-3 inches of rain with conditions similar to a nor'easter beginning Tuesday eveninginto Wednesday morning.
