The Fernandina Beach Library Renovation Project began in June and is on track for completion in December 2014. The last few months consisted of leveling the ground and pouring asphalt for the new foundation, and tearing down of existing walls to add the 7,500 foot addition.
The bricks on the existing structure are no longer in production but the architect has been working hard to locate one that matches closely. The top picture on the left is of the third "brick test" currently being conducted. The second picture is of the current atrium which is being converted to a technology center.
