Lane closure postponed for Thomas Creek Road at U.S. 301 due to extreme temperatures Tuesday
Jacksonville – Planned work and lane closures at Thomas Creek Road are being postponed from Tuesday until Thursday in anticipation of extreme temperatures.
An all-day lane closure on Thomas Creek Road just north of the CSX railroad bridge in Nassau County is planned so crews can remove and reconstruct the intersection at U.S. 301. This is part of the road widening project between Baldwin and Callahan.
Thomas Creek Road, between Bryceville and Callahan, is being reduced to one lane with flaggers directing traffic as the intersection is reconstructed about 500 feet to the north so it will align with the new lanes of U.S. 301. The work is expected to be completed by Thursday afternoon depending on weather.
