At the Monday, May 10th meeting, Florida Urban Forestry Council President, Joe Anderson, presented a Friends of the Urban Forest Award to Keep Nassau Beautiful for their program "Planting Nassau's Future".
The primary mission of this program is to beautify spaces in Nassau County. So far in 2021, KNB has planted 750 trees in resident's yards; 15 legacy trees; and has partnered with the Florida Native Plant Society to plant over 800 Florida-friendly pollinator plants.
