Hurricane Dorian has become one of the strongest hurricanes on record in the Atlantic. And, the latest forecast models have moved the storm closer to the Florida coastline. If the storm continues along this current path, Nassau County will make decisions relating to shelter openings and any possible evacuation notices today to provide Nassau County residents time to react.
Nassau County Director of Emergency Management strongly advises residents to have their immediate plans in place and very closely monitor local social media sites and news media outlets for any announcements later today.
