Important Notice Regarding Pickup of Construction and Demolition Debris

11/17/2017

11/17/17 @ 3:00 p.m. - The contractor has two haul trucks that have begun picking up construction and demolition debris. It has been noted that many of the piles contain improper items such as household garbage, clothing, appliances, etc. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF ANY ITEMS OTHER THAN CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR PILES OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, DEBRIS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP AT YOUR LOCATION AND IT WILL BECOME YOUR RESPONSILBITY TO REMOVE. Construction debris includes fencing, carpet, drywall, bricks, concrete, stone, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, insulation, and other similar items for constructing a home or structure.

If the contractor arrives to a location and finds that other items are mixed in with the construction and demolition debris, he will take a picture of the pile and document the address in case any questions arise. Again, once your property has been documented, it will be your responsibility to clean it up. The contractor WILL NOT be coming back to the site. Every news article and press release has stated that only vegetative and construction debris would be removed, therefore there should not be any confusion about this.

If you have any questions, please contact the Debris Hotline at (904) 451-7609.

Thanks for helping me understand that the demolition services would take pictures of debris when they are mixed together. With that in mind, I should make sure to have a dumpster ready when hiring their services to avoid that. We just need the old shed demolished for our safety as well since it is quite old now.

I found it interesting when you said that debris of the demolition would be hauled for a clear site. Last week, my friend told me that he was hoping to find a reliable demolition service for their old property that would be their business workplace, and he asked if I had any idea what would be the best option to do. I'm grateful for the information on finding the best service provider. I'll tell him that consulting a well-known demolition service can help them with a safe demolition.

Thank you for stating that it will be your obligation to clean up your property after it has been documented. My spouse made the decision to tear down the old house and build a new one. I'll assist my spouse in locating a demolition firm to help him remove and clean the building.

I need to get a building made, but I'm going to need to do some demolition first. It makes sense that I would want to find a demolition specialist to help me out with this. They would know the best way to put things together.

Thank you for stating that the contractor would take a picture of the pile and record the address in case there are any questions if he visits a spot and discovers that other objects have been mixed in with the construction and demolition debris. My sister wants to purchase land on which to erect a new structure for her shop. She wants to demolish the current structure. I'll advise her to contact a demolition specialist and be sure to take pictures and record everything.

It is essential to ensure that construction and demolition debris piles consist only of appropriate materials such as fencing, carpet, drywall, bricks, concrete, stone, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, insulation, and similar items. Improper items like household garbage, clothing, and appliances should not be included. If non-construction materials are found in the piles, the debris will not be picked up, and it becomes the responsibility of the property owner to remove them. The contractor will document any mixed items and the corresponding address but will not return to clean up the site. It is crucial to adhere to the guidelines to avoid any confusion or complications regarding debris removal.
