Free Spay & Neutering Available in Nassau County

We are pleased to announce that Nassau County Animal Control has obtained a PetSmart Charities Grant in the amount of $200,000 to be used to provide free spay/neutering services for pets and feral cats residing in Nassau County. First Coast No More Homeless Pets was awarded the bid for spay/neutering services and will be providing the services on behalf of the County and at no cost to you. There are no income requirements to qualify. Simply contact First Coast No More Homeless Pets at (904) 425-0005 to schedule an appointment. Free Transportation for your pet is also provided and your pet will be available to pick up and take home on the same day.

By participating in this wonderful program, you can help Nassau County Animal Control in it's efforts to control the pet population and to insure that there are no more unwanted pets, thus reducing shelter intake and euthanasia rates. Call to schedule an appointment today!

Nassau County Animal Services does not provide spay and/or neutering of any kind. They received a grant from PetsMart charities for spay/neutering, however those funds only apply to cats and dogs.

I should have clarified... for the dogs and cats that receive this service through the grant, they are sent to an outside clinic contracted with PetsMart charities. They are not done at Nassau County's shelter.

I have a male pit that I need to get neutered. He's not aggressive, I just want to take precautions. He is a year and half old. Could you let me know if they are still doing the neutering for bully breeds for free? Thank you.

They wouldn't be paying form themselves that's why these hospitals have to provide a reasonable fee for their patients. I am happy that Douglassville Veterinary Hospital is finally open and ready to cater the needs of the these animals in terms of their health!
