3/22/17 @ 8:15 p.m. - As most of you are probably aware, there is a large brush fire off of County Road 121 in Bryceville. Nassau County Fire Rescue and Emergency Management personnel are on the scene. A total of 10 structures have been lost and residents in the vicinity of CR121 and CR119 by Dewey's Place have been ordered to evacuate. The Northeast Florida American Red Cross has established an emergency shelter at Bryceville Baptist Church and Brandy Branch Baptist Church has also opened their doors to displaced residents. Diamond D. Ranch at 5903 Solomon Rd. and Walker Quarter Horse Farm at 14452 Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville have offered to shelter horses and other livestock that have been evacuated.
