Nassau County Fire Rescue participated in the American Lung Association's Annual Fight for Air Climb Event on Saturday, February 1, 2014. By participating in this event, they were able to raise $590 which will be used by the American Lung Association to assist in their efforts in providing lung cancer research, asthma management education, and air pollution preventatives.
The climb took place at Jacksonville's tallest building, the Bank of America. Participants climbed 42 stories, the equivallent to 838 steps, in support of this great cause. The three Nassau County Firefighters that participated were Captain Pete Gunnell, Firefighter TJ Temples, and Firefighter Paul Thornton (pictured left to right).
