October's Purrfect Cat Library Café was so popular that residents couldn't wait for the next one to be scheduled. Nassau County Animal Services and the Nassau County Public Library heard your requests and have partnered to bring additional events in December.
Grab a drink, read a book, and cuddle with friendly, adoptable felines! The Cat Café will be open on Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th from 9am-6pm, and on Sunday, December 11th from 10am-2pm. Tickets are $15 for each person visiting with the cats and each ticket will give you one hour of reading and cuddling time. Reservations are required and tickets can be purchased on the Library's website. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be available for purchase along with t-shirts, coffee mugs and tumblers.
On Friday, December 9th at 6pm, the Library will host a special Pajama Story Time. Children are invited to attend in their pajamas for a bedtime story and time to mingle with adoptable cats. Each child in attendance will receive a special holiday treat. Tickets for this special program are also $15 and tickets can be purchased on the Library's website.
While we are looking for loving families for the cats, adoption is not necessary to participate in either event.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Nassau County Public Library System and Nassau County Animal Care & Control.
If you have any questions, please contact the Library at (904) 530-6500.
