1/2/18 @ 4:50 p.m. - Following a call with Nassau County Emergency Management, it has been determined that Board of County Commissioner's offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, due to impending weather conditions including icy roads and possible snow.
Citizens are being urged to stay inside and off the roads if possible. There are currently no plans to close the bridge leading to Amelia Island however please be advised that bridges may be closed if it is determined conditions are unsafe.
Nassau County Emergency Management will be posting updates throughout the night on their website, FaceBook page, and Twitter. They will also be in continuous contact with local news outlets. If you have any questions, you may contact Emergency Management directly at (904) 548-0900.
Note: The Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Sheriff Administrative Offices will also be closed tomorrow. It is unknown at the time of this publication whether or not the Tax Collector's Office will be closed. The Clerk's Office and Courthouse will be open tomorrow. As each of these offices are independent, please contact them directly if you have any questions.
