On Thursday, September 28, 2017 AmeriCorps volunteers will be arriving in Nassau County. These teams of 32 individuals will be getting ready to mobilize and assist Nassau County Citizens with muck out.
If you live in Nassau County and your house was flooded these teams can help you. These volunteers are here to assist with cleanup and can help remove flooded items and debris. If you need this type of free assistance, please call the Nassau County EM at 904-548-0900 and give them your information so that we can dispatch the volunteers to help you. Again, right now they are helping with flooded homes only.
Also we have free clean up kits available for those with flooded homes so that they can clean them up. The American Red Cross is sending Nassau County Emergency Management 24 pallets of cleaning kits. (See Photo). If you need one, please call the Nassau EM at 904-548-0900 and they can tell you where to pick one up.
