Pictured left is Road & Bridge Foreman, Curtis Wilder. Curtis has been employed with Nassau County since 1993, learning how to operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery. Curtis takes great pride in his work and his dedication is unmatched. He often goes above and beyond the call of duty and was instrumental in completing chip seal projects over the last year.
Pictured right is Road Supervisor, Jay Denmark. Mr. Denmark has worked for the County since 2019 sharing his knowledge with team members and encouraging them to build their skills. Under his leadership, there has been an improvement in his crew's confidence and capabilities. Assistant Road Director Darren Marsh stated that as a supervisor, Jay helps new employees with less experience learn the job while demonstrating patience with them throughout the process, saying "Many times I've pulled up to a site and he's on his hands and knees showing them how to how to finish a curb. He does a great job training these young employees and he's been a great help to the county".
Congratulations Jay and Curtis. We appreciate all you do for Nassau County and its residents.
