Nassau County Road & Bridge has been working in the Wilson Neck area this week clearing storm debris in the right-of-ways. Due to the abundance of storm debris, they have not made it to the Meadowfield Bluff or the Pages Dairy Road area yet. In an effort to speed up the process, the Public Works Director is obtaining quotes to hire a contractor to assist with removal. However, the earliest contractors can begin working is next Thursday, August 18th, as the quotes will require approval from the Board of County Commissioners at their Board meeting next Wednesday, August 17th.
Please note that only vegetative debris is being picked up. Pieces of fence, patio furniture, drywall, etc. will NOT be picked up. If you have these types of items mixed in with your debris, Road & Bridge and the contractors will continue to the next property.
