We are aware of speculation regarding a proposed data center near the Jacksonville airport, possibly within Nassau County. At this time, the Board of County Commissioners, nor any member of their staff, have knowledge about this project, outside of a press release issued by NextNRG in September 2025.
County staff has contacted multiple economic development partners, and no organization has any knowledge of such a project. The County has also made an attempt to reach NextNRG but has yet to receive a response.
As of April 1, 2026, no applications have been filed with Nassau County related to this matter. If an application is submitted, it will be reviewed through the County’s standard procedures.
We appreciate the public’s engagement and interest in what’s happening in their community.
