Power and utility crews have been working diligently for nearly 24 hours now to restore service to their customers.
Of the nearly 35,000 customers in Nassau County that were without power yesterday morning, approximately 30,000 have been restored with just over 5000 still out
FPL, FPU, and Okefenokee are working hard and will continue working throughout the weekend and into next week to get your power back on.
The electrical distribution systems for all three companies are expansive throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Because of the large service area, smaller pockets and more localized areas of outages will take more time to get to as they must search for and find the exact location and cause of the outage.
