Health Administrator/Health Officer Cara Gluck provides a quarterly update from the Nassau County Department of Health At the Monday, February 23, 2026 meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, Nassau County Department of Health Administrator/Health Officer Cara Gluck provided the Board with a quarterly update.
Her presentation highlighted results from the 2025 Community Health Assessment (CHA), which examines health outcomes, access to care, and community conditions throughout Nassau County. More than 5,000 residents participated through surveys, interviews, and focus groups, offering valuable insight into local health needs and helping identify the County’s top three priority health areas for 2025–2030.
The information gathered will be used to update the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), guiding efforts to address public health concerns, establish measurable health objectives, and implement coordinated strategies to improve overall community well-being.
