At the Monday, February 23, 2026 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a proclamation recognizing March 2026 as National Procurement Month in Nassau County. This designation highlights the critical work performed by the County’s Procurement Department in securing goods and services for the Board while ensuring full compliance with the County’s Purchasing Policy. From preparing and soliciting bids and requests for proposals to managing contracts and vendor relationships, the department plays an essential role in maintaining a fair, open, and transparent procurement process.
The proclamation also underscores the importance of responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Procurement professionals work diligently to obtain the best possible value while upholding the highest standards of integrity and service.
