CR 121 Resurfacing Project: Weekly Update

• 8/30/26 @ 7:30 p.m. 

Activities that took place the week of August 24, 2026: 

Drainage:

• Mitered end sections undergoing repair,  preparation for pipe placement, preparation for box culvert installation ongoing.

Sod:

• Began placing sod around box culvert S-201.

Road Closure:

• A road closure began on  Friday, August 28th, 2026, from Balderdash PL to .33 miles South of Horseshoe Cir. South until Tuesday, September 8th. Open to local traffic only. 

Road Shoulder Construction:

• Placed two pallets of sod around the box culvert S201
• Continued fixing washouts throughout the project limits
• Conducted general site cleanup.

Maintenance of traffic:

• MOT crew continues to maintain traffic control in accordance with project plans and FDOT standards
• Conducted  routine inspections of all signage, barrels, and devices to ensure proper placement and visibility.

Mon. 08/31/26:
Utilize lane closures throughout project for mitered end sections and pipe placement

• Activities: Mitered end sections and pipe placement outside shoulders, sod placement
• Begin roadway construction activities in preparation for box culvert (S-100/S-101) installation at Station 54+14 (approximately .83 miles North US-90, and 1.0 mile south of Horseshoe Cir. S.)

NOTE: Access to properties will be maintained, and road will remain open to local traffic during this phase.

Tues. 09/01/26:
Utilize lane closures throughout project for mitered end sections and pipe placement

• Activities: Mitered end sections and pipe placement outside shoulders, sod placement
• Begin roadway construction activities in preparation for box culvert (S-100/S-101) installation at Station 54+14 (approximately .83 miles North US-90, and 1.0 mile south of Horseshoe Cir. S.)

NOTE: Access to properties will be maintained, and road will remain open to local traffic during this phase.

Wed. 09/02/26:
