On Saturday, June 6, 2026, approximately 2,000 people joined us to celebrate the grand opening of Westside Regional Park, and we could not be more grateful for the overwhelming community support shown throughout the day.
From live music performances by The Honey Badgers, Claire Wright, Marc Broussard, and Corey Smith to kayaking tours, pickleball clinics, astronomy demos, family activities, food vendors, and the spectacular drone show finale, the park was filled with energy, excitement, and community spirit from start to finish.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our vendors, volunteers, performers, public safety personnel, community partners, and especially the Nassau County Parks & Recreation Department and County staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible.
We would also like to recognize our presenting sponsor, McCall Construction Management, along with Prime AE, Kimley-Horn, Nassau Open MRI, and Ring Power/CAT for their valued support and partnership in helping bring this special event to life.
Most importantly, thank you to the residents and visitors who came out to experience Nassau County’s newest park and celebrate this exciting milestone with us. We hope Westside Regional Park becomes a place where memories are made for generations to come.
