County and City Hold Joint Meeting

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Fernandina Beach held a Joint Meeting to discuss items of mutual concern. Topics included:

  • Vision 2050 planning/2050 Comprehensive Plan Update
  • Amelia Island Trail projects
  • County recreation
  • Ybor Alvarez expansion
  • Amelia Island Stormwater Master Plan
  • Tourist Development Taxes
  • Beach Harmonization
No action was taken at the meeting however both commissions presented updates on projects that impact both City and County residents. The discussions were very informative and showed how both commissions are working together for the betterment of Nassau County residents.

Joint Meeting of the BOCC and City of Fernandina Beach

​The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the City of Fernandina Beach Commission will host a Joint Meeting on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. to discuss topics of mutual concern. ​

The meeting will take place in the County’s Commission Chambers located at 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, FL 32097 (James S. Page Governmental Complex).
 
The agenda will be published prior to the meeting and can be located at https://nassaufl.co/agendas​.
 
The public is invited to be present and be heard. In accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, persons needing accommodations to participate in this activity/event should contact the County Manager’s Office by e-mailing [email protected] or calling (904) 530-6010, no later than 72 hours prior to the proceeding.
