The county-wide burn ban remains in effect and will continue to be extended weekly as needed due to ongoing high wildfire risk. Please do your part to help keep Nassau County safe.
Not allowed:
• Yard debris burning
• Bonfires or campfires
• Any outdoor burning unless permitted by the Florida Forest Service.
Allowed:
• Gas and charcoal grills (must be constantly attended).
Please stay vigilant
Even a small spark can start a major fire in these dry conditions.
Avoid:
• Tossing cigarettes on the ground or out of vehicles
• Dragging trailer chains on roadways
• Using hot equipment near dry vegetation.
