The T2TDO consists of Transect Based Zoning (TBZ) standards, first established in the William Burgess District, and expands upon this foundation by employing Community-Based Design Standards (CBDS) and priority programs specific to the SR 200/A1A Corridor. Transect zones depict the transition of development form from rural to urban, ranging from natural preserved areas to urban core, and allows for special districts that fall outside these typical transect designations.
On Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., the Board of County Commissioners will have a Workshop to discuss the proposed Timber to Tides Overlay Design. There will be no action taken at the Workshop. Should the Board determine it would like to move forward and consider adoption of the T2T Design Overlay, a public hearing will be scheduled and advertised for the public. Please note that the BOCC Workshop will be live streamed so residents can watch remotely if unable to attend in person. A recording of the meeting will also be available following the conclusion of the meeting at www.nassauclerk/watch-meetings.
All information regarding the T2T Design Overlay can be located here on our official website. Questions? Please contact Senior Planner Josh Macbeth at (904) 530-6323 or via email at [email protected].
