During the week of July 27, 2026, work continued as a progression of the prior week’s efforts, including ongoing conduit installation for the new streetlights and grading/slope formation in preparation for ditch paving along the west side of the intersection. These activities support permanent lighting, proper drainage, and long-term performance of the roundabout and approaches.
Two-Week Lookahead (August 2 – August 15):
- Final grading
- Continued conduit and junction box installation for lighting
- Ditch pavement and related excavation
- Asphalt paving of the remainder of the shared-use path (SUP).
Key Upcoming Milestone: We currently expect paving of the remaining shared-use path next Thursday (August 6th), weather and conditions permitting.
As previously noted, final placement of the top-lift friction course asphalt remains sequenced after installation of the concrete light poles. This protects the finished pavement surface from equipment damage and delivers a higher-quality, more durable result.
The project team continues to focus on completing these remaining elements in the proper order for safety, drainage, accessibility, and overall constructability. We appreciate the public’s continued patience and cooperation as we finish this important intersection improvement.
