In July 2024, Nassau County Animal Services and the Nassau County Extension partnered to offer "The Dog Program", a course designed to educate teens ages 15-18 on basic dog training and caring skills. This program also enables them to train dogs at NCAS with basic commands to further their chances of adoption.
This Saturday, November 9, 2024, they will offer a free community event to help dogs find their fur-ever homes. This event will showcase the dogs that have been through the 12-week training program. Enjoy a competitive, youth-led dog contest, engage with community partners and meet some amazing dogs (and cats) that are available for adoption.
The event will take place at 11:00 a.m. at NCAS located at 86078 License Road, Yulee.
