The book’s advice spans the entire South, from Florida up to Virginia and over to Texas, so even if you’re a life-long Southerner you may learn a thing or two from this book. For a transplant like me, it was a great primer in how to make biscuits and proper Southern lemonade, but also led to the horrifying realization that my manners are not nearly Southern enough. Maybe if I read through all of the Southern literature that this handbook recommends, I’ll be better equipped to navigate life in Northeast Florida!
