I like that Magary starts in essentially the present day, taking our current society into this new ageless future and making some pretty reasonable and terrifying predictions about the consequences of living forever. At the beginning, much of the worry is over whether or not to take the drug, but once most people are doing it there are bigger things to worry about, including term marriages and oil shortages and anti-anti-aging protesters and new kinds of population control. It’s a scary but fascinating world, not recommended for the squeamish.
